Thursday (1/26) marks the anniversary of the last Cascadia Earthquake

An ominous anniversary is looming this month. Thursday (1/26) marks the 316th anniversary of the great Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake. The magnitude 9.0 earthquake shook the Pacific Northwest on January 26, 1700. Scientists believe Oregon (and the entire Pacific Northwest) is in the average window of time during which another massive, destructive quake could occur.
