Main Break
Old Faithful or Cause for Alarm
Occasionally the underground pipes that make up the Clackamas River Water (CRW) distribution system form leaks of varying size. CRW has a monitoring system that is able to detect large leaks; and sometimes CRW customers will call and notify CRW employees that there is a problem.
No matter what time of day or night CRW will respond and begin the repair process.
They start by digging up the road.
Then they fix the pipe, clean up the mess and repair the road.
Typically this is done without customers losing water, but sometimes the water must be shut off for repairs to be completed
